I have to reset dsl modem
I have a desktop PC with uubuntu 12.04, Verizon 6100g DSL modem and a Linksys E1200 router. I also have a Dell laptop connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Several times a day the internet connection will be lost and I have to turn the modem off and back on. This only affects the desktop, the laptop is fine. I disconnected and connected the network with network manager, no change. I posted this a month ago, swapped out ethernet cable which I thought solved the problem, but it's happening again. Results of ifconfig look normal. What should I try next?
